{"id":11517,"date":"2023-05-19T10:52:09","date_gmt":"2023-05-19T08:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sano.science\/?p=11517"},"modified":"2023-08-03T14:12:49","modified_gmt":"2023-08-03T12:12:49","slug":"sano-at-building-bridges-conference-in-dresden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sano.science\/sano-at-building-bridges-conference-in-dresden\/","title":{"rendered":"Sano at Building Bridges conference in Dresden"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">For the Sano team, it was a good opportunity to think about stereotypes and biases that are unconscious but influence personal and professional life and choices.\u00a0 One of the best parts of the event was that people could communicate on such important topics openly and discover that they really differ from each other.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br><br>After all, for all participants, it was a very good time spent in the company of colleagues, who suddenly opened up from different perspectives. Tasty food made the meeting even more warm and memorable.\u00a0<br><br>On May 16th and 17th, 2023, around 300 researchers from Saxony, the Czech Republic, Poland and other Central and Eastern European countries met to exchange views on the topics of health, information technology, as well as energy and climate. At the international conference &#8220;Building Bridges for the Next Generations&#8221;, which takes place at the International Congress Center Dresden, they had the opportunity to network with colleagues and stakeholders from industry, society and politics.\u00a0<br><br>Prof. Sebastian M. Schmidt, Scientific Director of the HZDR, will open the conference together with the Saxon Minister of Science, Sebastian Gemkow, Jana Havl\u00edkov\u00e1, Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Innovation of the Czech Republic, and Signe Ratso, Deputy Director General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission: &#8220;Research at the cutting edge \u2013 that&#8217;s how you can describe the challenge for modern science. The aim is to find solutions to global challenges. That\u2019s why we need to form global teams. We have to network \u2013 with other scientific disciplines, internationally, with business and with politics. Our conference offers the appropriate podium.\u201d\u00a0<br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/building-bridges-conference.eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The conference<\/a> was a great opportunity for interesting discussions as well as for sharing experience and enthusiasm for innovation with Polish, German, and Czech scientists.\u00a0<br><br>It was wonderful to discover a strong Polish representation and learn about their invaluable contributions to medicine&#8217;s future! It was privilege to share Sano story and present what we are doing in our Centre!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer At the international conference \"Building Bridges for the Next Generations\", which takes place at the International Congress Center Dresden, they had the opportunity to network with colleagues and stakeholders from industry, society and politics.\u00a0<br><br>Prof. Sebastian M. Schmidt, Scientific Director of the HZDR, will open the conference together with the Saxon Minister of Science, Sebastian Gemkow, Jana Havl\u00edkov\u00e1, Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Innovation of the Czech Republic, and Signe Ratso, Deputy Director General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission: \"Research at the cutting edge \u2013 that's how you can describe the challenge for modern science.
