One of the key elements of the program was the panel &#8220;Art That Heals,&#8221; focused on the therapeutic applications of artistic practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\" id=\"h-exploring-art-s-role-in-therapy\">Exploring Art\u2019s Role in Therapy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The event included lectures,&nbsp;workshops, performances and exhibitions&nbsp;delivered by artists working in therapeutic contexts, such as Gabriela Bartosik, Olaf Brzeski, Irena Telesz-Burczyk, Rafael Torres Montesinos, and Viola Tycz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\" id=\"h-film-screening-agata-s-faces\">Film Screening: &#8220;Agata\u2019s Faces&#8221;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The program also included a screening of the documentary &#8220;Agata\u2019s Faces,&#8221; directed by Ma\u0142gorzata Kozera. The film presents the story of Agata di Masternak, a painter diagnosed at the age of sixteen with a severe arteriovenous malformation affecting the left side of her face. Painting became a means for her to express herself and support her healing process. The documentary highlights how art and medical intervention together contributed to rebuilding her sense of identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">&#8220;Agata\u2019s Faces&#8221; addresses the broader theme of using creativity to transform trauma. The Use of Art as a Possible Research Methodology,&#8221; was organized by UBU Lab at the Jagiellonian University\u2019s Faculty of Management and Social Communication in collaboration with Middlesex University. It brought together artists, researchers, and students to examine how artistic practices can contribute to therapeutic and cognitive research processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\" id=\"h-contribution-of-computational-medicine\">Contribution of Computational Medicine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Dr. Jan K. Argasi\u0144ski\u2019s lecture introduced the perspective of Computational Medicine to the discussion on art and healing. His presentation outlined how advanced technologies can support therapeutic and diagnostic activities through creative methods.
