From digital twins and AI-generated art to interactive exhibitions and software for cultural heritage visualization \u2014 the dialogue between information technology and the humanities has never been richer. This event explored these convergences and fostered interdisciplinary collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\" id=\"h-conference-goals-connecting-innovators-and-cultural-experts\">Conference Goals: Connecting Innovators and Cultural Experts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The main goals of the \u201cInformatics in Art and Humanities\u201d conference were to:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-8277fe\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Bring together developers and users of digital tools for the arts and humanities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Foster collaboration between scientists, artists, curators, humanists, and technologists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Exchange insights on the effective use of informatics in cultural domains<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Review key projects and case studies that demonstrate impactful integration of technology in cultural work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Evaluate challenges and ethical concerns, such as the role of AI in artistic authorship or risks related to digital dependency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Discuss the future of the initiative \u2014 including whether it should become a recurring series of events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\" id=\"h-initiative-with-sano-participation\">Initiative with Sano Participation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">One of the initiators of the conference was Professor <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sano.science\/people\/marian-bubak\/\">Marian Bubak<\/a>,<\/strong> Scientific Affairs Director at Sano Centre for Computational Medicine, as well as a member of PTI (Polish Information Processing Society) and ACK Cyfronet AGH. The event was co-led by Professor <strong>Tomasz Szmuc<\/strong> (PTI, AGH, TPSP). Their efforts highlighted the importance of building strong bridges between scientific research and cultural practice \u2014 and emphasized Krak\u00f3w\u2019s central role in this emerging dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\" id=\"h-why-it-mattered-technology-as-a-cultural-medium\">Why It Mattered: Technology as a Cultural Medium<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The conference served as a platform for exploring not only technological innovation in the arts, but also the philosophical and social dimensions of digital transformation in culture.
