AI on Call: Paulina Tworek on the Future of Doctors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As part of the INVENTIO track \u2014 focused on emerging technologies \u2014 Paulina Tworek<\/a> gave a lecture titled \u201cAI on Call: Are Doctors Becoming Obsolete?\u201d Drawing from her work on the CACTUS<\/strong> project, Paulina explored how artificial intelligence is transforming clinical practice and redefining the role of medical professionals. She also shared a few of the most surreal and hilarious hallucinations generated by AI models \u2014 examples that, while inaccurate, proved to be imaginative, entertaining, and surprisingly thought-provoking. That moment truly captured the audience\u2019s attention and made the abstract risks of AI feel vividly real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can Machines Think? Janek Argasi\u0144ski in Dialogue with Leading Minds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Later in the program, Jan Argasi\u0144ski<\/a> hosted a dynamic and open-ended discussion between two distinguished guests: Prof. W\u0142odzis\u0142aw Duch and Prof. Piotr Durka. The debate, titled \u201cArtificial Intelligence: Is There Anybody In There?\u201d, went far beyond the typical AI conversation \u2014 diving into the nature of consciousness, the boundaries of cognition, and the philosophical challenges of interpreting intelligent behavior, human or machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Prevent Digital Dementia?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the most memorable moments came during the Q&A, when Janek was asked how to prevent \u201cdigital dementia.\u201d His answer was as concise as it was sharp:
\u201cOne way is to come to Copernicus Festival and talk to smart people.\u201d
That line stayed with us \u2014 because it reflects what this festival is really about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
