This year\u2019s edition will be held in a hybrid format, running in parallel in Sheffield (United Kingdom) and Krak\u00f3w, with the active involvement of Sano \u2013 Centre for Computational Personalised Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\" id=\"h-modelathon-a-collaborative-research-sprint\">Modelathon \u2013 a collaborative research sprint<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Modelathon is an intensive, team-based research format inspired by hackathons, but focused on the development, integration and validation of computational models, rather than software development alone. Working in interdisciplinary teams, participants will address clinically grounded challenges, developing models and simulations that reflect real-world medical problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\" id=\"h-multiscale-models-in-the-context-of-ischaemic-stroke\">Multiscale models in the context of ischaemic stroke<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The central theme of the 2026 edition is multiscale modelling (0D, 1D, 3D) of physiological and pathological processes related to ischaemic stroke. Participants will focus on integrating models of varying levels of complexity with:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-e3b4b2\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">high-performance computing (HPC),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">reproducible computational workflows,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">and a translational approach aimed at bridging in silico research and clinical practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading eplus-wrapper\" id=\"h-international-collaboration-between-sheffield-and-krakow\">International collaboration between Sheffield and Krak\u00f3w<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The Modelathon is jointly organised by:<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list eplus-wrapper eplus-styles-uid-825c78\">\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Insigneo Institute for in silico Medicine (University of Sheffield),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" eplus-wrapper\">Sano \u2013 Centre for Computational Personalised Medicine in Krak\u00f3w.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The event provides a platform for collaboration among researchers from medicine, biomedical engineering, computer science, applied mathematics and computational sciences, strengthening international knowledge exchange and the development of advanced <strong>in silico methods<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":"Multiscale Computational Modelling in Ischaemic Stroke Research","author":8,"featured_media":27662,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"editor_plus_post_options":"{}","editor_plus_copied_stylings":"{}","footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-27668","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v27.4 (Yoast SEO v27.4) -
