{"id":29279,"date":"2026-02-23T16:37:06","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T15:37:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sano.science\/?p=29279"},"modified":"2026-03-19T15:11:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T14:11:10","slug":"sano-at-cardiopulmonary-physiome-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sano.science\/sano-at-cardiopulmonary-physiome-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Sano at Cardiopulmonary Physiome Workshop\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">New approaches to <strong>cardiovascular modeling<\/strong> and the u<strong>se of virtual reality in biomedical research<\/strong> were the topics showcased by our Sano researchers at the prestigious Cardiopulmonary Physiome Workshop in Auckland, New Zealand (February 2\u20135, 2026).<br><a href=\"https:\/\/sano.science\/people\/karolina-tlalka\/\" type=\"people\" id=\"12871\">Karolina Tla\u0142ka<\/a> presented the poster \u201cPersonalisation of lumped-parameter cardiovascular model with baroreflex in response to induced central hypovolemia\u201d. Her research focuses on <strong>tailoring mathematical circulation models to individual patients<\/strong>, <strong>incorporating the baroreflex<\/strong>\u2014the mechanism that helps the body respond to sudden blood loss, such as during hemorrhages or dehydration. This approach opens new possibilities for interdisciplinary teams working to understand circulatory dynamics, enabling joint experiments in an immersive environment without physical boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote eplus-wrapper is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><br><em>\u201cProper understanding of how the computational tool works in the medical context is paramount for increasing its uptake in the clinic.
