In June 2026, a researcher from the Computational Neuroscience Group at Sano \u2013 Centre for Computational Personalized Medicine \u2014 Joan Falc\u00f3 Roget<\/a> took part in the OHBM 2026 Annual Meeting in Bordeaux (14\u201318 June). Organised by the Organization for Human Brain Mapping <\/strong>(OHBM<\/strong>), the meeting is the largest annual gathering of the brain-imaging community, bringing together more than 4000 researchers who study the structure and function of the human brain, mainly through neuroimaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joan Falc\u00f3 Roget presented a poster titled “Spatial components of white matter\u2013glioblastoma interactions inform survival outcomes<\/strong>“. Glioblastoma is one of the most aggressive brain tumours, and white matter is the network of nerve fibres that connects different regions of the brain. The study looks at how a tumour is structurally embedded with these pathways, showing that this spatial relationship carries information about how long patients survive. It is the team’s most recent work, carried out with Anna Janus<\/a>, Julia Rybska<\/a>, Barbara Wojtarowicz<\/a> and Jan K. Argasi\u0144ski<\/a>, together with colleagues at Humanitas University and IRCCS Humanitas Research Hospital<\/strong> in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Sano, OHBM 2026 was a chance to share this work \u2014 bridging clinical neuro-oncology and the methods that underpin brain imaging \u2014 and to exchange ideas with the international neuroimaging community in Bordeaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
