<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\nIn June 2026, Sano \u2013 Centre for Computational Personalized Medicine joined the global biotech community at the BIO International Convention in San Diego (22\u201325 June). The centre was represented by Dominik Czaplicki, Dominik Stosik (Business Development) and Magdalena Otta (Postdoctoral Researcher, Extreme-scale Data and Computing), who showcased Sano’s work as part of the Polish Pavilion coordinated by PAIH, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. Organised each year by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, BIO is one of the largest biotechnology events in the world, bringing together companies, research institutions and investors from dozens of countries for partnering meetings, presentations and networking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For Sano, being present in San Diego served three connected goals. The first was visibility \u2014 putting the centre on the map for a global audience of biotech and life-science partners. The second was presenting Sano’s research and technologies in computational and personalized medicine, the field in which the centre develops advanced computer methods, including artificial intelligence and patient-specific models, to support diagnosis and treatment. The third was strengthening Sano’s international network across biotech, medtech, pharma and clinical research, through the one-to-one partnering meetings for which BIO is best known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The trip also built the team’s own expertise. Ahead of the convention, three Sano staff took part in BIO’s Professional Development Courses, gaining hands-on experience in dealmaking, valuation and negotiation \u2014 skills that turn early conversations into lasting collaborations. Because talks like these rarely finish at the convention itself, what matters is the momentum they create afterwards: new contacts, follow-up meetings and partnerships that can bring research closer to patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All in all, an inspiring week of partnering, learning and connecting with the innovators shaping the future of medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
