Sano Centre for Computational Personalised Medicine has launched its first spin-off, NEUREVEAL, turning years of computational-medicine research into an independent company. It is the first venture to emerge from Sano’s technology-transfer model demonstrating how scientific results can move beyond the research environment and towards real-world use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NEUREVEAL<\/strong> was founded to bring AI-based analysis of brain data \u2014 from EEG and neuroimaging \u2014 toward clinical use, supporting faster and more precise detection and characterisation of neurological conditions. The company grew out of research led at Sano by Rosmary Blanco <\/a>(PhD Student in Computational Neuroscience) and Luca Gherardini<\/a> (Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Intelligence), and its launch in August 2026 makes it the first company to spin out of the Centre since its founding in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For Sano, this first spin-off means more than a single company. Translating research to market is one of the Centre’s core strategic domains, and NEUREVEAL demonstrates that the full path \u2014 from a scientist’s idea, through validation, to an incorporated business \u2014 now works in practice. It shows that computational-medicine research done in Krak\u00f3w can move out of the lab and into the healthcare market, where it can reach patients and clinicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Crucially, the founders are the scientists themselves. Rather than licensing ideas away, Sano supports its researchers in developing their own concepts into companies \u2014 combining scientific depth with entrepreneurship and innovation, two more of the Centre’s strategic pillars. NEUREVEAL’s founding team, Rosmary Blanco and Luca Gherardini, developed the company’s core methods through their research in computational neuroscience and computational intelligence at Sano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n NEUREVEAL is the first of several.
