The defence will be public and open to online participants.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sano.science\/people\/mahmoud-nasr\/\" data-type=\"people\" data-id=\"14244\">Mahmoud Nasr<\/a> will defend his doctoral thesis before the Council of the Scientific Discipline of Biomedical Engineering at AGH University of Krakow. His thesis is titled \u201c<strong>Advanced Preprocessing and Hybrid Strategies for Noise Characterization and Image Enhancement in Medical Tomography<\/strong>\u201d. It deals with noise in tomographic images, which can hide important details, and with methods that help describe this noise and improve image quality.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer eplus-wrapper\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"eplus-wrapper wp-block-paragraph\">The thesis was supervised by Prof. Adam Pi\u00f3rkowski (AGH University of Krakow) and Krzysztof Brzostowski, PhD, DSc, Associate Professor at Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology.
