Piotr Kica
PhD Student in Extreme-scale Data and Computing
Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, with a particular interest in cloud computing architectures for solving complex problems. During his time at Sano, he earned both Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science degrees in Computer Science. His theses formed the basis for several scientific publications he authored, which were presented at international conferences. He is a core developer of a cloud solution for the Transcriptomics Atlas as part of the NearData project. An advocate of an active lifestyle—both physical (bouldering, team sports) and mental (chess).
In his free time, he enjoys listening to audiobooks and attending orchestral concerts.
