Sano Centre for Computational Medicine is a new International Scientific Foundation located in Kraków, Poland. 

Sano aspires to be a major translational scientific institute, operating at the meeting point of academic science, established MedTech industry, and emerging start-up environment, combining the best of these three perspectives. 

Established with support from the European Commission and the Foundation for Polish Science, Sano aims to be a major driving force behind the advancement of computational medicine for the benefit of healthcare systems worldwide.

The research agenda will be executed in close collaboration with Partners in Poland, EU and USA.

About job

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager – European projects and grants.

Project Manager will be responsible for smooth operations of selected European and local funding projects including grants for scientific research, infrastructure and/or support activities. The PM will work closely with researchers and Partners’ representatives to ensure effective delivery of milestones.

What are you going to do?

  • Comprehensive management of research projects funded by European grants  
  • Ensuring compliance of implemented projects with applicable regulations, provisions of co-financing agreements and internal standards,  
  • Participation in the preparation of applications for funding, reports and presentations, 
  • Responsibility for the implementation of reporting, budget monitoring, progress monitoring, documentation workflow and obligations arising from co-financing and grants agreements and legal provisions, 
  • Running smooth communication with supervising institutions in assigned projects, teams and project partners, 
  • Administrative work related to the handling of projects covered by external funding. 

 

What do we require?

As our successful candidate you should have: 

  • University degree.  
  • Proven experience in comprehensive project management, ideally with European and/or Polish operational funding programmes e.g., Horizon2020 
  • Experience in the preparation of applications for financing of research and development activities with the necessary documentation to the relevant institutions, 
  • Experience in budgeting the implementation of projects covered by funding programs (e.g,, grants).  
  • Knowledge of guidelines and regulations governing the implementation of projects under national and regional operational programs; 
  • Strong operational, organizational, and multi-tasking skills, combined with the ability to be equally efficient when working on site or remotely.   
  • Strong communication skills, efficient use of on-line communication and coordination tools, solution driven focus, pro-active attitude.   
  • Highly efficient in time management.   
  • Detail-oriented mindset.   
  • Fluency in English.
