Dr. Marissa Diaz Pier Simulation & Data Lab Jülich Supercomputing Centre Institute for Advanced Simulation

Dr. Marissa Díaz Pier holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in computer graphics and interactive techniques. With 18 years of experience creating and adapting technology solutions, she has been recognized as one of the top Chief Information Officers in Mexico, receiving CIO100 awards in security and business continuity in 2016, 2017, and 2018. Her background spans academia and industry, with interests in Neuroscience, Simulation, Usability, Computer Graphics, Robotics, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning. Dr. Díaz Pier has contributed to the Human Brain Project through the Scientific Liaison Unit on EBRAINS. In her current role at the Jülich Supercomputer Center, she maintains and builds relationships with scientific leaders, infrastructure designers, and developers. She collaborates on the Sano project, focusing on advancing computational personalized medicine through interdisciplinary cooperation in IT and technology.
