The goal of the project (MultiGeoMed) is to propose and explore new area in medical image analysis supported by an artificial intelligence (AI): the multimodal geometric deep learning. The work is interdisciplinary and covers the areas of medical informatics, biomedical engineering and medicine – with particular emphasis on the first one.
What are you going to do?
The Postdoc will be responsible for:
- Development of methods for using implicit representations in medical image analysis.
- Implementing and evaluating solutions based on implicit representations for various downstream tasks.
- Development of multimodal geometric deep learning methods using different representations simultaneously.
- Working with the PhD student (under the PI’s supervision) on combining several geometric representations simultaneously and evaluating their performance on the defined downstream tasks.
- Data Acquisition and Unification (continuous).
- Actively helping the PI with the management of the data used in the project.
- Preparing scientific publications and taking part in international conferences to present the project outcomes.
What do we require?
Required background and skills of the candidate:
- PhD in computer science or related field, no more than 12 years of postdoctoral experience (between obtaining the PhD and the application for the job, in case of candidates who previously were on maternity leave, this period is prolonged by 18 months per child);
- Advanced knowledge and practical skills in deep learning.
- Practical experience in PyTorch and/or JAX/Julia.
- Experience in image processing & analysis, data science.
- Research record confirming main or corresponding authorship of at least 3 articles in Q1 journals / Core A/A* conferences.
Our offer
We offer a fixed-term contract for 40 hours per week. This will be supported by an educational plan that includes attendance of courses and (international) meetings. The contract will include opportunities to participate in teaching and supervision of undergraduate and master students.
The salary, depending on relevant experience before the beginning of the employment contract, will be up to 204 000 PLN of employer’s costs per year, based on a full-time contract (40 hours a week) with private medical care and a sports card.
Sano offers excellent opportunities for study and development, an access to many international conferences on computational medicine and a possibility to grow in a scientific society.
