Sano joins the Polish Teaming Club
– working together for the advancement of Polish science
The Polish Teaming Club (PTC) is a new initiative bringing together Polish Centres of Excellence implementing Teaming for Excellence projects under the Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 programmes. Its main objective is to foster mutual support in project implementation, share knowledge and experience, and develop joint activities aimed at strengthening innovation and research excellence in Poland.
Shared goals and ambitions
For Sano Centre for Computational Medicine, joining the PTC marks another step toward building stronger relationships between research institutions and enhancing cross‑disciplinary collaboration. By combining the expertise and potential of the participating Centres of Excellence, the initiative aims to increase the visibility and impact of Polish science within the European innovation and technology landscape.
Inaugural meeting in Warsaw
On February 25, 2026, the first Polish Teaming Club meeting took place in Warsaw, hosted by the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IIMCB). The meeting gathered representatives of Astrocent, Ensemble3, ICTER, Nomaten, P4Health and Sano, as well as observers from the National Contact Point for EU Research Programmes.
Sano was represented by Maciej Malawski, Anna Kajda‑Twardowska, Wioletta Niwińska, and Magdalena Chrzanowska. It was a productive and inspiring discussion, setting the direction for future collaboration among the Polish Centres of Excellence.
Mission and European perspective
The Polish Teaming Club aims to strengthen cooperation between Polish Centres of Excellence, support joint scientific initiatives, and promote innovation both nationally and internationally. The initiative is part of a broader European collaboration network, where research centres regularly exchange knowledge, experience, and best practices.
