Kuba Chrobocinski’s Visit to the University of Sheffield
“Outreach is good for the soul”- these are brilliant words of Dr. John Fenner from Sheffield University, and we couldn’t agree more.
Dr. Fenner uttered them regarding a medical physics outreach event organised by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and The University of Sheffield, aimed to inspire local students.
During the event, the students took part in a series of interactive hands-on activities including an immersive virtual reality demonstration of the different components of a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner. One of the VR demonstrators was Kuba Chrobocinski, a PhD student both at Sano Science (under the supervision of Dr. Przemysław Korzeniowski) and Sheffield University (supervisor Dr. John Fenner). Dr. Fenner highly appreciated the active part Kuba played in the event, especially in the process of testing collaborative VR.
