Zofia Sikorska

Junior Research Specialist

I am currently pursuing a BSc in Bioinformatics at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. I serve as the President of the Bioinformatics Students’ Scientific
Association “In Silico” and lead the Student Research Council Association under the PTBI.
I first joined Sano as an intern and now work as part of a grant project investigating the relationship between eye movement patterns and stroke. My current work focuses on fine-tuning machine learning models for fMRI data analysis, building on my earlier efforts to manually explore correlations between brain scans and patients’ gaze behavior.
My main research interests are in neuroinformatics, particularly in the analysis of fMRI and MRI data using Python and machine learning methods. I am also involved in a student research project developing ML tools to automatically detect stroke-affected regions in MRI scans of rats brains.
Beyond research, I enjoy exploring new technologies and collaborative projects that bring together neuroscience and data science.
