Sano Scientists Visited SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre

Even for specialists in the most advanced computational methods, it is useful to go out of the box sometimes and see exceptional scientific institutions that are also located in Kraków.

SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre, a unique source of synchrotron radiation in Central Europe, is exactly the right place to get inspiration from modern technologies. The Sano team was really lucky to visit it under the guidance of Piotr Ciochoń, who provided us with comprehensive information and answered all questions.

The Synchrotron beamlines are currently the most versatile research tools possessed in the natural and technical sciences, such as biology, chemistry, physics, materials engineering, nanotechnology, medicine, pharmacology, geology, or crystallography.

The SOLARIS Centre is open for all interested scientists, both from Poland and abroad. Calls for proposals are announced twice during a year (in spring and autumn).
