155. AI mediator for virtual meetings
Marek Kasztelnik, ACC Cyfronet AGH, Krakow PL
Abstract:
In an increasingly connected yet fragmented world, seamless and effective human interaction remains a critical challenge. The Meetween project (https://meetween.eu/ ) envisions a future where AI mediates virtual meetings, breaking down the barriers of language, culture, technical complexity, and time zones.
This talk will discuss the project’s ambitious goals to revolutionize virtual collaboration and significantly improve human interaction using AI-based solutions. It will discuss the core elements of Meetween, including advanced speech-to-speech translation, real-time summarization, and AI agents for meeting participation and management.
The presentation will highlight how Cyfronet (https://www.cyfronet.pl/ ) enables cutting-edge projects like Meetween by leveraging the PLGrid infrastructure (https://plgrid.pl/ ) and HPC integration via the PLGrid portal. In addition, we will discuss strategies for accessing additional GPU resources through the EuroHPC JU initiative (https://eurohpc-ju.europa.eu/ ), offering guidance on applying for grants and comparing Lumi HPC with Cyfronet’s Helios HPC cluster. By understanding the architecture of these resources and their capabilities, users will gain insight into the infrastructure and support needed to push the boundaries of AI-based innovations during virtual meetings.
