Sano News – New issue out now!
AI in medicine, digital twins, microbiome, and more from our latest research and collaborations.
A new issue of Sano News is now available
– packed with strong stories from the past weeks, from standout publications and visits in Sheffield and London to real-world applications of AI in medicine and law.
Our latest edition includes:
- An invitation to the Virtual Physiological Human conference (VPH2026) in Milan, focused on moving digital twins in healthcare from research to real clinical practice.
- A hands-on workshop by our Legal & Data Protection team at ICAIL 2026 on responsible use of generative AI in legal work – with a focus on model reliability, data confidentiality, and professional ethics.
- A success story from the Structural and Functional Genomics team: a paper co‑authored by Adam Sułek published in a TOP 10 SCOPUS journal, and the MicrobiomeGPT project – the first AI model in Poland dedicated to the gut microbiome.
- A report from our visits to Sheffield and London, where we tested a prototype angiography simulator and virtual coronary assessment tools, gathering feedback from clinicians at the Insigneo Institute, Sheffield Teaching Hospital, and the Royal Free Hospital.
- An overview of our recent talks and publications – from research on the microbiome and the gut–brain axis, through bone engineering and digital twins, to participation in a large international study published in “Nature” on how different analytical decisions can lead to different conclusions from the same data.
