Virtual Cardiology at Sano

- An Internal “Test Drive” of Our Angiography Simulator

In June, we organised an internal “test drive” of the prototype of our advanced angiography simulator, giving researchers from different teams the chance to try out a solution developed at Sano and experience what it feels like to work in a virtual cath lab.
Instead of a classic Sano Seminar, participants went through successive procedure scenarios, testing how the simulator is operated and sharing their first impressions in an informal, workshop-style setting.
While the development team – Tomasz Gubała, Krzysztof Karwat, Renata Szydlak, Adam Błasiak, Anna Węgrzyn, Dominik Stosik, Natalia Skowron, Piotr Paniec and Katarzyna Baliga‑Nicholson – usually focuses on the serious side of building this technology, this meeting was primarily an opportunity for team bonding and creative play with the new tool.
Jointly “steering” the catheter through virtual vessels made it possible to look at the simulator from a different angle and showed that advanced medtech solutions can be both a serious research project and an inspiring shared experience for the entire team.
