BIO IT DAY
Shaping the Future of Computational Medicine and Technology Together
On June 2, 2026, Kraków will host a conference bringing together experts, scientists, and practitioners working at the intersection of technology and medical sciences. Together, we are creating a space for exchanging knowledge and experience in areas such as bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, cheminformatics, computational medicine, machine learning, metagenomics, and drug design.
A Program Full of Current Trends
The event program will feature presentations showcasing the latest achievements and development directions in technologies supporting modern medicine—from data and medical image analysis, through the use of AI in diagnostics, to advanced research methods integrating multiple scientific disciplines.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore practical applications of modern technologies as well as emerging trends in bioinformatics and computational medicine.
Expert Talks from Sano
Representatives of the Sano Centre for Computational Medicine will also deliver presentations during the conference.
Tomasz Kościółek (Research Team Leader of the Structural and Functional Genomics Group) will give a lecture titled “Introduction to Bioinformatics,” introducing participants to key concepts in this rapidly evolving field. Paweł Szczerbiak will present “A New Era of Structural Bioinformatics,” highlighting the growing involvement of major technology companies (Google DeepMind, Facebook Research, Microsoft Research) in solving important biological problems using computational methods.
Who Should Attend
BIO IT DAY is not only a series of lectures, but also an opportunity to explore current technological trends, build professional connections, and discover new paths for scientific and career development.
The event is intended for students, PhD candidates, researchers, professionals, and anyone interested in bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, data science, and modern medical technologies.
