Sano researchers awarded two NCN SONATA grants for medical research
We are pleased to announce that two researchers from Sano – Centre for Computational Medicine have been awarded SONATA grants from the National Science Centre (NCN), a prestigious Polish funding programme supporting ambitious research.
Dr. Cemal Koba, Postdoctoral Researcher in the Computational Neuroscience Group, received funding for his project:
“Linking Eye Movements and Brain Function to Monitor Stroke-Induced Changes Using fMRI.”
This study aims to combine fMRI with eye-tracking to understand the brain’s response to stroke more precisely.
Dr. Marek Michał Wodziński was awarded a grant for his project:
“Multimodal Deep Geometric Learning in Medical Image Analysis.”
His work will explore the integration of multiple imaging modalities with advanced deep learning techniques for improved diagnostics.
Both projects align with Sano’s mission to support innovative computational approaches that improve human health.
We warmly congratulate both Principal Investigators and look forward to the results of their pioneering research.
