Sano Scientists at MICCAI 2024
Representing the Health Informatics Group at Sano, Tomasz Szczepański and Michał Grzeszczyk participated in the 27th International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention in Marrakesh, Morocco, from October 6-10, 2024. This conference is a key gathering for discussing the latest in medical imaging and interventions.
Michał Grzeszczyk presented a poster on “TabMixer: Noninvasive Estimation of the Mean Pulmonary Artery Pressure via Imaging and Tabular Data Mixing.” His work introduces a novel module that integrates Cardiac MRI and tabular data to estimate invasively measured mPAP. This work enhances the performance of vision deep learning models with mixing mechanism, offering a safer alternative to invasive right heart catheterization for diagnosing Pulmonary Hypertension.
Tomasz Szczepański showcased his research through a poster titled “Let Me DeCode You – Decoder Conditioning with Tabular Data.” Tomasz’s project explores the innovative possibility of conditioning the decoding process in medical image segmentation using tabular data, paving the way for better generalization of deep learning models in medical solutions.
