Sano at the 13th Central European Life Science Investment Conference

(LSBC 2026)

Sano took part in this year’s LSBC conference in Kraków, where Katarzyna Baliga-Nicholson joined a panel on how artificial intelligence is changing life sciences, from early discovery to development and investment.

The 13th Central European Life Science Investment Conference took place on 21–23 October 2026 at Hotel Stary in Kraków. Organised by LSBC (London) Limited with the City of Kraków as host city partner, the conference brings together around 120 delegates, mainly executives, investors and innovators from the life science sector. This year’s programme put a strong focus on artificial intelligence and its impact on research, intellectual property, investment strategy and the regional innovation ecosystem.

On 22 October, Katarzyna Baliga-Nicholson, Head of Innovation and Communication at Sano, spoke in the panel “AI in Life Sciences: From Discovery to Development and Capital Efficiency”. The discussion, moderated by Linn Evenseth (Beit), also featured Neethan Lobo (Onena Medicines), Ján Szöllös (QurieGen) and Prof. Tomasz Puzyn (QSAR Lab). The panellists considered how AI can shorten the path from scientific discovery to development and make the use of capital in life science projects more efficient.

Katarzyna brought the perspective of computational medicine to the discussion. At Sano, she works at the intersection of technology and medicine, helping to turn innovations such as AI and digital twins into real-world healthcare solutions – work that depends on close cooperation between science, business and the healthcare sector. That is why Sano takes part in events such as LSBC, which help connect research in computational medicine with industry, investors and healthcare partners across Central Europe.
