Big public conferences like the Open Eyes Economy Summit (OEES) provide a unique opportunity to learn what are the concerns of the public. Sano’s Computer Vision Data Science team significantly raised the accuracy of the prediction of the deposition of Amiloid-β. This misfolded protein is responsible for the development of both Alzheimer’s disease and MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment).

Sano students Karol Zając, Piotr Kica, Adam Nowak, and Krzysztof Gądek won the first prize for their Bachelor of Engineering Thesis at the III National Competition of the Polish Information Technology Society (PTI) for the best engineering works and projects in computer science.
