Polish research that will change the perception of medicine

Cancer, diseases of the brain and cardiovascular system are the most serious challenges faced by modern medicine. These so-called civilization diseases did not disappear during the COVID-19 pandemic, they also do not have a lockdown, they still pose a serious threat to the health and life of millions of people around the world. Scientists from several specialized research centers in Poland - International Research Agendas - are getting closer to finding ways to more effectively diagnose and treat civilization diseases.

VPH2020 Virtual Physiological Human – Conference and Award

The VHP2020 Conference, entitled “When models, methods & experiments meet the clinic”, gives an opportunity to present research related to the Virtual Physiological Human and more broadly to Computational Systems Biomedicine. It is a place to promote cooperation between specialists and experts in the industry. Thanks to special thematic rooms, participants can discuss various scientific topics, exchange experiences and establish cooperation.

Sano – Project Kick-off and official inauguration of the Centre

The official inauguration of the Sano Centre for Computational Medicine took place on 26 November, at the Life Science Open Space 2019 conference organized by Klaster LifeScience Kraków. The establishment of Sano will directly contribute to the advancement of science in our region through new scientific projects and world-class educational opportunities for postgraduate students. It will also foster knowledge and technology transfer by supporting new start-ups in the area of advanced technologies. The Centre’s influence will stretch beyond the region and will also be felt on the international stage, contributing to further development of modern medicine and thereby to improving the quality of medical care.
