Life Science Innovation Breakfast on digital health in Poland
How is digital transformation reshaping healthcare in Poland — and what can Europe learn from it?
On 29 October 2026, Marian Bubak (Scientific Affairs Director at the Sano) moderated the session of the “Life Science Innovation Breakfast”, an online meeting series organised by the LifeScience Krakow Cluster; Maciej Malawski – Director of Sano, and Piotr Nowakowski took part in the discussion.
The session focused on Poland’s achievements in healthcare digitalisation and present selected digital solutions that are changing the way healthcare services are delivered. The speakers of this session were: Tomasz Maciejewski, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Health; Karolina Tądel, Deputy Director of the Department of e-Health at the Ministry of Health; and Krzysztof Napora, Director of the Medical Information System Development Department at the Centre for e-Health (CeZ).
The meeting was addressed to participants from across Europe, in particular healthcare and medtech startups, accelerators and incubators, healthcare providers and medical institutions, ministries and public-sector organisations, as well as industry associations, clusters and innovation networks.

Digital transformation in healthcare is a challenge shared by all of Europe, and an opportunity for cross-border collaboration. At Sano, we work every day at the intersection of data, computation and medicine, and we know that robust digital health infrastructure is what allows research to translate into better, more personalised care. That is why we are glad to contribute to this discussion alongside our partners from the LifeScience Krakow Cluster.
