Sano team visited Insigneo  

At the beginning of October, Insigneo welcomed 22 members of Sano team, including Research Team Leaders, PostDocs, Scientific Programmers and PhD Students to a week long PhD Training programme. This was the second time Insigneo had hosted the Sano PhD Training and the first time it was held in person. The event was held in the Medical School Seminar Rooms and the Pam Liversidge Building for the final day. The event opened with a welcome from Dr Andrew Narracott followed by an introduction to medical imaging from Dr John Fenner.  The event was organised by Dr Ivan Benemerito. 

Sano Science team representation in Singapore at MICCAI 2022 

Paper presentation and co-organization of workshops – these are activities which Sano handled during the 25th International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention, MICCAI 2022, held from September 18th to 22nd in Resort World Convention Centre Singapore. The annual MICCAI conference attracts the world’s leading biomedical scientists, engineers, and clinicians from a wide range of disciplines associated with medical imaging and computer assisted intervention. 

Sano’s publication accepted for IROS 2022 in Japan

It is our pleasure to inform you that paper written by Przemysław Korzeniowski, Arkadiusz Sitek, Szymon Płotka (all from Sano), and Robert Brawura Biskupski Samaha entitled “Virtual Reality Simulator for Fetoscopic Spina Bifida Repair Surgery” has been accepted for publication in the Proceedings of the 2022 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2022), Kyoto, Japan. The IEEE/RSJ IROS is a top-tier conference (A rank) in Robotics.
